The head is sculpted in Zbrush 3.0. Textures are made in Photoshop and the scene is rendered in Mayas MentalRay. The eyebrows are partially textured and partially made with "Shave and Haircut" for Maya.
This is my first attempt to make a believable and "photoreal" 3d rendering of a face. I wanted to use a real life person as reference so I chose my dad.
I started on this head a long time ago and occasionally I’ve picked it up and improved/tested small things on it. Basically, my dad has been my "test dummy" for a while. =)
Now, it had been lying untouched for quite some time and I though I’d pick it up and end this project with a rendering.
